HCT Sun commissions its first rooftop solar PV plant

Location: Vasai

HCT Sun has commissioned a 75-kW rooftop solar PV unit for an industrial client in Vasai. This is HCT’s first commissioned plant. The plant is a net-metered system that will allow the client to send unused solar power to the grid, and enjoy credits for the same in their monthly power bills. The plant was installed on multiple roofs, including metal and RCC surfaces.

The client, a snacks manufacturer, was looking to reduce their electricity bills. Solar power was an option but the huge upfront costs was a concern for the client. HCT Sun offered to build a solar PV plant and help the client reduce electricity costs without any upfront investment from the client.

HCT Sun’s zero-investment Opex model will help the client reduce their power costs and also use green energy without any upfront cost. The client plans to use the cost savings to modernize some of its manufacturing machinery.
