HCT Sun and DTDC’s 131.4 kWp Rooftop Solar PV Project

HCT Sun has taken a significant leap forward with its ambitious rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) initiative with DTDC, in association with Pichad Warehouse in Thane. As one of India’s leading integrated express logistics providers, DTDC is not only focused on delivering packages but is also committed to delivering a greener future.

The project showcases an impressive 131.41 kWp solar power system, featuring 354 high-quality Canadian Solar modules. The incorporation of SolarEdge smart inverters allows for real-time monitoring and management of energy production, ensuring that each module operates at its optimal capacity. This intelligent energy management system maximizes the energy yield from the solar panels, resulting in significant savings and enhanced efficiency.

In addition, the project employs a water-saving robotic module cleaning system. Traditional cleaning methods often consume large amounts of water, but with this innovative approach, HCT Sun ensures that the solar panels are kept clean while conserving precious resources. This commitment to sustainability extends beyond energy production to encompass water conservation as well.

Safety and durability are paramount in any solar project, and the DTDC initiative is no exception. The solar modules are mounted on UL-certified aluminum structures that are engineered to withstand extreme weather conditions, including winds of up to 198 km/h. This robust infrastructure ensures that the system remains operational and resilient, even in the face of nature’s challenges.

To further enhance the system’s reliability, special meters and DC protection mechanisms have been installed. A systematic Operations and Maintenance (O&M) process has also been put in place, which is essential for the long-term sustainability and efficiency of the solar installation.

The environmental benefits of the DTDC rooftop solar project are profound. DTDC has successfully reduced its CO2 emissions by 20 tons per year. To put this into perspective, this reduction is equivalent to planting 562 trees annually.

HCT Sun’s rooftop solar PV initiative in partnership with DTDC and Pichad Warehouse is more than just a project; it’s a powerful statement about the future of logistics and sustainability.
